As Incense is on a cd that we use for Rejoice and Praise. I listened to the cd on Friday on my way to Sam's house. I usually skip this song because I hate the melody and I hate the singer's voice, but something about the words held my attention this time. "Keep a guard on my mouth, keep a watch on my lips, let my heart not cry out for any evil that there is." Very beautiful. I'll have to check to see where in the Bible this is from.
As incense, as incense
let my prayer before you rise
the lifting up of my hands, the lifting up of my hands
as an evening sacrifice
Keep a guard on my mouth,
keep a watch on my lips
let my heart not cry out
for any evil that there is
As incense, as incense
let my prayer before you rise
the lifting up of my hands, the lifting up of my hands
as an evening sacrifice
